Five months ago, very quickly and surprisingly early, you joined our little family and turned our world upside down. Five months ago we saw your beautiful face for the first time. Five months ago we heard your litle cry (that quickly became more than "little"). Five months ago we became a family of five. Five months ago my heart grew a little more. Five months ago...
This past month we have really started to see some new and fun changes and developments happening in your life. You are a master roller...front to back, and back to front. You try to scoot yourself around when you are on your tummy, and you love playing with toys. (And by playing with, I mean chewing on!) You have a sweet and silly giggle that you occasionally share with us.
Your sleeping habits haven't changed much this past month. You are still a pretty good sleeper at night, going about 7-8 hours at a time. We did have a little set-back in your sleeping earlier in the month, but I think it was just a little growing spurt that we have moved past. Your day-time sleeping has not improved much this month, however. You still fight the naps most of the time, but daddy is really working on that. Unfortunately, "working on it" means letting you cry it out in bed until you finally give up and fall asleep. You haven't figured it out yet, and still cry for a loooooong time, but we'll keep trying and hopefully eventually we'll get there. You have become quite the night-owl lately, and like to stay awake long after your bedtime bottle. Here's hoping we can get out of that habit soon because...zzzzzzzz.
Your big brother and sister still adore you...especially Griffin. She consistently refers to you as "my Eastland boy" and does not appreciate anyone else thinking otherwise. You are her baby (until she's tired of you and ready to play with something else). Hadley is so sweet with you, and such a big helper. He is, however, ready for you to play superheros and legos with him!
I can't wait to see what happens in the next month! I love you, East! -Mama-
